Voice Recording

The FLRC hosts a voice recording application which you may use for class assignments. Use the recorder below to record your voice and save the file locally on your computer. You may then e-mail it to your professor or upload it to Sakai. Please save the file as a compressed wav file.
To record, hit the red button. To stop, the black square. To save, click on the right button shaped like a little disk.

Known issues:
I cannot play the file I just downloaded.
Please note that iTunes has trouble playing the file, but Windows media player, VLC, or QuickTime have no problem with compressed wav files.
The applet is not loading
You need to have Java installed, which is the case on all Pomona lab computers. You also have to click on “Trust” when the applet is loading for the first time. (You may also try the alternate link)
I do not have a headset or a microphone to record my voice.
Please see an FLRC student worker if you need to check out a headset.
